Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, Calvin Corzine grew up in a community submerged in yoga. An athlete from an early age, sports held center focus. Calvin’s love for sports continues–he’s a die hard Lakers fan who never shies from excitement in the physical world, surfing, practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and pilates. It was in his 20s that Corzine discovered his own draw to the practice of yoga, leading him to his current path as a teacher.

Calvin teaches asana and movement-forward classes that are a blend of Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga, and Iyengar. His own studies began under teacher, mentor and good friend Vinnie Marino. Corzine has completed over 500 hours of training under the guidance of Vinnie Marino, Jenny Aurthur, Jesse Schein, Sharath Jois, and continues to building his knowledge of yoga under senior teachers (including Lisa Walford, Maty Ezraty, Sonya Cottle and Manuso Manos) in Mysore, India, and locally in LA.

Corzine teaches yoga in Los Angeles, leads retreats in picturesque beachside locations, and offers his workshops worldwide.

Signature Style

Calvin Corzine’s training as a yoga instructor has primed him to offer a well-rounded practice, reflecting a diversity of styles. Ashtanga, Iyengar and Vinyasa come together in Calvin’s teaching. His classes and workshops are asana and movement-forward, emphasizing guidance of the physical practice of yoga rather than a dogmatic focus.

There’s no drama in Calvin’s classes. His anatomical instruction stays approachable, using basic language that students of all levels can connect to. Calvin teaches accompanied by loud, upbeat music, using creative, intelligent flow sequences that assure you’ll never take the same class twice.

Challenge is a staple in his classes. Expect to get a sweat on. Calvin will push you to the next level; trust that you will be led in a direction that will open and strengthen the body safely and deeply. Calvin offers an uncommon level of presence, always engaged with his students, helping them reach their goals, explore their limits, giving expert adjustments, and taking an experience from vigorous challenge to a feeling of peace, relaxation and rejuvenation.
